Master of Science Program - Application Information:
 

Application Deadlines:

Fall Semester - Dec 15th. (Deadline to be considered for merit-based scholarships).
Fall Semester - Jan 15th. (Final Deadline).
Spring Semester - Sep 15th.

*The Master of Science in Computer Science with a specialization in Game Development only accepts applications for the Fall semester.
*The Master of Science in Computer Science for Technical Professionals accepts applications for the Summer semester with an application deadline of February 15th.
 

Applicant Criteria:

  • Earned undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, math, or hard science from a regionally-accredited university.
  • Substantial academic background in computing constitutes a minimum requirement.
  • Satisfactory cumulative undergraduate GPA (grade point average).
  • Satisfactory GRE test scores (for all applicants).
  • Satisfactory TOEFL test scores (for international applicants whose first language is not English).

Complete and submit the electronic USC Graduate Admission Application.  
 

Required Documents:

Required documents to be submitted directly to the USC Office of Admission:

  • Official Transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.
  • GRE Scores : Institution Code: 4852
  • TOEFL Scores, If applicable : Institution Code: 4852
Letters of Recommendation and a Personal Statement are optional and not required to apply.

*Please note: The Computer Science Department does not accept applications for the Spring semester.

Complete and submit the electronic USC Graduate Admission Application.

Required Documents:

Required documents to be submitted with the online application:

  • Statement of Purpose
  • Resume
  • Minimum of Three Letters of Recommendation
  • Any published papers, research reports, etc.

Please note: The Department of Computer Science does not accept hard copies of recommendation letters, personal statements, resumes or any other supporting documents. We will not be able to upload documents to your application.
