Biographical Information:
Ramesh Govindan is Professor of Computer Science at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. He received his B. Tech. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology at Madras, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of California at Berkeley. Before joining USC, he was a Member of Technical Staff at Bell Communications Research in Morristown, NJ, a Computer Scientist and Project Leader at USC’s Information Sciences Institute, and a senior researcher at the International Computer Science Institute at Berkeley. Dr. Govindan directs the Embedded Networks Laboratory at USC, and is a senior researcher on the NSF-sponsored STC Center for Embedded Networked Systems, a large research initiative for advancing the state of networked sensing and their use in scientific applications.
