Everyday Respect Project – MS Student Hiring Challenge
The Everyday Respect project is seeking a motivated MS student with a strong background in web development and machine learning to join our team. We build multimodal machine learning models to study communication between police officers and drivers during traffic stops. This role is open to all MS students (first-years preferred) and requires working in person at LAPD headquarters once per week.
To apply, candidates must complete the Everyday Respect Challenge, which involves:
- Modifying a customized CVAT instance to support audio-video playback.
- Deploying a minimal demo version to Microsoft Azure.
- (Optional) Exploring VideoLLaMA3 for long-form video embeddings.
