Hello MS Students,
We are looking for a student to support research at USC Center for Advanced Manufacturing and help shape the future of robotics by programming state-of-the-art industrial robots for projects with leading companies in the field. As a highly motivated student with a passion for developing software packages for a variety of robots, you will have the opportunity to work on advanced problems in Vision Language Models, Diffusion Models, Reinforcement Learning, Motion Planning, and Computer Vision.
This is a paid, in-person position requiring a commitment of 20 hours per week during Spring Semester 2026. We are looking for candidates who can start as soon as possible and live near the USC campus.
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Proficiency in Python. C++ is a strong plus
- Proficiency in Ubuntu
- Proficiency with Git
- Experience with the ROS2
- Experience with PyTorch
- Additional preferred qualifications include:
- Experience working in software development teams
- Experience working on large-scale robotics projects
- Knowledge of RVIZ, MuJoCo, Isaac Sim, OpenCV, and Open3D.
- Relevant coursework in Robotics, AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning
