[MS/PhD] Open GRA Position with TEPPIT Project

Dear Students,

Please find information regarding an open GRA position for Fall 2026. The position may be extended for Spring 2027 too.

TEPPIT project (https://ant.isi.edu/teppit/) is looking for a self-starter MS or PhD student to work as either a GRA (PhD student) or as paid student worker (22$/h, 20h/week during school, 40h/week during breaks ). The student would lead exploration of using LLMs to add privacy-preserving technology (e.g, differential privacy, secure multi-party computation, etc) to various application code or to add existing attacks to well-established privacy-preserving framework (e.g., to Flower or OpenDP). An ideal candidate:

·  Can commit to at least 1 year of work

·  Is a current USC student and will remain current USC student for 1 year

·  Is proficient in:

o LLM use via APIs

o LLM use to synthesize code

o Python

• Is familiar with at least one of the following technologies:

o Federated learning

o Differential privacy

• Has prior research experience

Must be a motivated self-starter, detail oriented and reliable. This is a fast-paced project
with quarterly reviews that can impact future funding.

Must be available to come to ISI twice a week (can skip a few weeks for class conflicts or vacation)
