The following announcement is from [Dr. Scott Easley]. Please contact them directly if you have any questions.
I have a summer directed research to have students experiment with and help write a course curriculum and conference paper in esports AI. They need solid coding foundations (Java, Python, some C#), exposure to ML/AI algorithms, simulation coursework (e.g., Reinforcement Learning, Game Theory) and any experience building data pipelines or logic systems. Fans of EA’s FIFA, Madden or other team eSports games is a plus.
Any prior exposure to finite state machines, utility-based AI, or Unity is helpful. If you are interested, please contact seasley@usc.edu with the subject line “eSports AI DR” and include your portfolio projects or coursework in game AI, simulations, or agent-based modeling.
You will be working on all of the above with meeting on Zoom twice a week. Remote work is fine.
The deadline is 6/16/2025 to apply –
Thanks.
Scott
