Kendra Tomassacci is a doctoral candidate in Educational Leadership at Wilkes University and an engineering faculty member at Pennsylvania College of Technology. They are conducting dissertation research focused on factors that support women’s persistence in undergraduate engineering programs.
We are sharing the attached IRB-approved recruitment flyer and survey link in hopes that junior- and senior-level women enrolled in ABET-accredited engineering programs (which includes CSCI & CECS majors) will participate in Kendra’s study. Participation is entirely voluntary, anonymous, and involves completing an online survey that takes approximately 20–30 minutes.
The purpose of the study is to better understand how socioeconomic background, early STEM exposure, and mentorship may influence women’s persistence in engineering. Kendra hopes the findings can contribute to efforts that support women in engineering education.
