Hello all,

The PhD Women in Computing Club (WinCC) is pleased to announce the next session in our Byte of Life Seminar Series. This series is open to all PhD students and faculty in computing and computing-related fields who are interested in research, professional development, and career growth.

Date: May 1st
Time: 12 pm – 1 pm
Location: EEB 132
Lunch will be provided!

We are excited to host Dr. Tingshan Huang, Senior Site Reliability Engineering Manager at Akamai Technologies.

Seminar outlines:

  • Balancing Depth and Soft Skills — Staying technically sharp while growing communication, networking, and teamwork abilities for success in academia and industry.
  • Building Leadership Acumen — Strategies for leading diverse teams, promoting inclusion, and developing leadership skills over a career.
  • Overcoming Imposter Syndrome — Personal stories of self-doubt and tips for building confidence at all career stages, especially in male-dominated fields.
