Shift SC is re-hosting our XR pitch competition called RealityShift! In this competition, students will pitch an extended reality application or experience (VR/MR/AR) that addresses a social problem, improves the way something is traditionally done, or presents a benevolent use of XR.
The competition is open to all students, regardless of their experience level in extended reality. RealityShift aims to encourage innovative thinking about how emerging technologies can benefit society while also considering ethical implications.
Date and Venue: Saturday, April 12th, Ahmanson Lab (3rd floor of Leavey)
Time: 10am – 5:30pm (end time is tentative)
Format: Teams of 3 to 4 students or individual participants (will be matched to a team based on shared interests)
Prizes: $650, $250, and $150 for the top 3 teams
Additional Benefits: Judging panel of industry professionals, networking opportunities, and FREE Chipotle
Partnerships: The event is in collaboration with the USC Neely Center for Ethical Leadership and Decision-Making and the USC Ahmanson Lab.
