Want to build cool things with great people? Apply to Scope!

Each semester, Scope brings together a new cohort of USC students to learn real-world tech skills, work on projects you can show off, and join a supportive community. This semester, we’re teaching Docker + Kubernetes: the industry-standard tools behind modern cloud apps. You’ll start with fun lessons, then build towards a tangible final project and a hackathon, giving you something impressive to add to your resume or portfolio.

But Scope isn’t just about coding, it’s about people. We host weekly socials, game nights, retreats, and more so you can find your group of motivated, curious, and fun CS friends to make USC feel a little smaller (and a lot more fun).

We also bring industry to you. Every semester, Scope organizes tech talks and recruiting events with major companies, so you can hear from engineers, connect with recruiters, and start exploring career opportunities early. Many of our members have gone on to work at top tech companies like Google, Meta, and Bloomberg.
