Undergraduate Research Experiences


Students currently enrolled in undergraduate programs have the option of coming to USC and engaging in a worthwhile research experience during the summer. The USC Viterbi School of Engineering, the Department of Computer Science, the Information Sciences Institute, and the Institute of Creative Technologies each host various summer research programs with a multitude of projects in which students can work directly with our faculty on cutting-edge research.

Safe, Usable, Reliable and Fair Internet (ISI)

USC's Information Sciences Institute (ISI) offers a 9-week summer research program for undergraduates in Safe, Usable, Reliable and Fair Internet. USC/ISI is a leader in networking, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. Summer students work closely with USC/ISI faculty, staff and graduate students on diverse problems in the realm of the Internet, seeking to advance groundbreaking research projects. Students are housed at USC and visit USC/ISI each day, using a free shuttle.
