The following announcement is from Professor Yue Wang. Please contact them directly if you have any questions.
Dear all,
We are conducting a research project on building a large-scale humanoid dataset/algorithm/infrastructure, with plans to submit our work to NeurIPS or ICRA. This project aims to collect high-quality interaction data to advance humanoid robots’ perception and control capabilities in complex environments, in addition to fundamental algorithm development.
We are currently recruiting student researchers to assist with:
- Hardware building: Setting up the robotic system, sensor calibration, and robot teleoperation.
- Data collection: Recording and annotating high-quality datasets for training and evaluation.
- Algorithm development. Conduct research on reinforcement learning and sim-to-real transfer for humanoid locomotion and manipulation.
What you will gain:
- Hands-on experience in cutting-edge humanoid robotics research and data-driven robot learning.
- Co-authorship on a NeurIPS or ICRA paper, contributing to a high-impact research publication.
- Practical skills in hardware setup and experimentation, benefiting your future research and career development.
We are looking for students who:
- Are interested in robotics, computer vision, or deep learning (experience in these fields is a plus).
- Have basic programming skills (Python/C++, or experience with ROS and other robotics-related tools).
- Are team-oriented and willing to dedicate time to the experiments.
If you are interested, please fill out the form: https://forms.gle/wfTxMnttBCZR3AwB9. There is no need to send a separate email, and we will reach out if we find a good fit.
Best,
Yue Wang
