Dear CS students,
Looking for a great opportunity this summer? Check out the following:
The California DREAMS Semiconductor Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) at the University of Southern California John O’Brien Nanofabrication Laboratory offers undergraduates an immersive experience in semiconductor nanofabrication. Over a duration of seven weeks, participants will engage in a focused course on fabricating and prototyping next-generation semiconductor microelectronics, and then will expand on their skills as semiconductor laboratory interns. This program equips students with practical skills and knowledge in a critical area of technology and defense. Participants will receive a stipend of $4,000.
This initiative is sponsored by CA DREAMS and theDoD Microelectronics Commons program, advancing research and development in semiconductor technologies for 5G/6G communications and electronic warfare.
Program Highlights:
- Duration: 7-week fellowship that begins with a dedicated 1-week intensive hands-on course in semiconductor nanofabrication.
- Location: The state-of-the-art John O’Brien Nanofabrication Laboratory at USC.
- Stipend: A $4,000 stipend is provided to all participants over the duration of the fellowship.
- Dates: June 2nd – July 18th or June 16th – August 1st.
- Details: Hands-on experience in fabricating and prototyping next-generation semiconductor microelectronics and systems.
- Target Applicants: Open to USC undergraduates with a passion for electrical engineering, semiconductor physics, and microdevice technology.
