The Dornsife Office of Community Engagement and Viterbi’s MESA University Program are launching the (C.E.N.T.R.I.C) program during the Fall 2025 semester. We are currently looking for Math Peer Mentors for the 2025-2026 academic school year.

The Math Peer Mentor supports undergraduate students enrolled in lower-division math courses, with a focus on first-generation college students. Peer mentors will help foster a welcoming and inclusive environment, help students navigate academic resources, engage in campus life, and support their personal and academic growth.

Math Peer Mentors can work up to 20 hours/week with a rate of $18.50.

Requirements for becoming a Math Peer Mentor
• Completion of MATH 125 or higher with an earned grade of B+ or higher.
• Must be enrolled full-time (minimum of 12 units for undergraduate students)
• A cumulative USC GPA of 3.0 or greater
• Be knowledgeable about campus resources
• Have a positive attitude and strong communication skills
• Commit to working for at least two semesters
