About ArchiWalk:
ArchiWalk is an architectural tour app that brings buildings to life through guided experiences. Users can input a point of interest and instantly discover nearby buildings, complete with description pages outlining their architectural features. These descriptions can be played back as audio, giving users a hands-free, immersive tour experience-just like listening to music. The app also offers a personalized history page where users can revisit cached tours anytime, as well as a subscription tier that unlocks additional searches and expanded tour storage for return visits.
Role Overview:
We’re looking for a highly motivated Front-End Developer to join our small team and help bring ArchiWalk’s user-facing features to life. You’ll be responsible for developing intuitive, visually appealing user interfaces, integrating design elements, and collaborating with the team to create seamless guided tour experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain front-end features for the ArchiWalk mobile application
- Translate Figma designs into production-ready Swift UI components
- Integrate Front End Pages with Back End API Calls
- Clearly document and communicate bugs, blockers, and feature requests
- Test existing features, identify issues, and contribute to bug fixes
Requirements:
- Strong Front-End Development skills
- Swift experience for iOS development
- Ability to work with Figma design assets and translate them into Swift code
- Python experience to integrate Front End Designs with the Back End APIs
- Availability to work 8 hours per week throughout the semester
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in a professional group or project team setting
- Strong communication skills for reporting bugs and feature requests to stakeholders
