The following announcement is from [ICT]. Please contact them directly if you have any questions.
The USC Institute for Creative Technologies (ICT) is seeking one (1) student worker. The project aims to build a multi-modal activity recognition system to analyze complex behaviors from videos. The project will focus on synthetic-to-real adaptation by training the model with synthetic data and testing with real data. The goal is to develop a novel multi-modal model for activity recognition with synthetic training data.
We have one (1) opening for the AI/ML Student Researcher position with a focus on computer vision. The student will work with ICT researchers to investigate large vision/language models and domain adaptation techniques for object detections and tracking. The ideal candidate should have solid knowledge in machine learning and proficiency with Python and PyTorch. Previous experience working with video data or VLMs desired.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with machine learning and computer vision (Python, Pytorch).
• Interest/experience in computer vision topics such as action recognition, multi-object tracking, or Vision-Language Models.
• Experience or courseworks in deep learning or computer vision.
• Knowledge of working with synthetic training data or domain adaptation is a plus.
To apply, please email your CV and cover letter to Robert Fuchs at fuchs@ict.usc.edu, with the subject line “Application for AI/ML Student Researcher”. Please name your CV and cover letter files as <your_full_name>_CV.pdf and <your_full_name>_cover_letter.pdf.
