The following announcement is from [Networked Systems Lab]. Please contact them directly if you have any questions.
You are invited to participate in a research study conducted by Prof. Ramesh Govindan’s group in Networked Systems Lab (NSL). We are inviting students and staff at USC to interact with volumetric video (aka “6DoF video” or “VR Video”), which is a next-generation 3D immersive video.
If you volunteer to take part in the study, you will watch volumetric videos. We will ask you to rate your experience through a questionnaire. The activity is expected to last for approximately 60 mins and will be conducted in our lab: GCS 503C, Ginsburg Hall, 1031 Downey Way,
Los Angeles, CA.
You are eligible to participate if you are aged 18 or older and are comfortable with wearing a virtual reality (VR) headset. You are not required to wear the headset in this study. Your participation in this research is entirely voluntary.
If you have any injuries or impairments to the foot and/or leg that could impact your ability to stand or walk, are prone to motion sickness, or experience dizziness in VR conditions, you should not participate.
If you are interested in learning more about this study or want to participate, please use [this link] to sign up. Every participant will be compensated with a $10 gift card from Amazon.
If you have any questions please contact Christina Shin via email at cshin956@usc.edu.
