USC Perplexity AI has recently released a new AI-powered browser. For USC students, they are providing a 1-month free subscription to Perplexity Pro and access to this new browser. It is extremely relevant for CS students as this browser can help them apply for internships, find employees on LinkedIn to network with, and overall help them with their career path. A lot of students are worried about the state of the job market and this AI tool will make their internship / job search a lot more efficient!
Here are the steps to receive the free subscription:
1. Open this link (desktop recommended): https://pplx.ai/uscedu
2. Install Comet – the new AI browser tool that can browse for students
3. Sign up with your student email and verify using SheerID
4. Enter your first search on the Comet browser – Try: “Comet browser use cases”
An example use case: Open up your LinkedIn feed and press on the Assistant tool. Type in “Take control of my screen and find 20 USC alumni that are now working full-time in Software Engineering,” and watch the magic happen!
